Despite a poor start to the year, Eels captain Nathan Hindmarsh says that both he, and his side, will not be giving up on their chances in 2011.
Despite their 30-o loss against the Dragons, Hindmarsh believes that this is not a reason to start panicking, as the Eels brace themselves for a hard slog this week in training, given they have the bye.
“We are capable of coming out of this one,” the experienced backrower told reporters on Tuesday.
“Finish up today, get the rest of the week off and then we’ll face the Cowboys.
“I think we’ve got the team to get out of this hole, definitely.”
Hindmarsh believes that the bye has come at a great time for the club, as it gives them a chance to freshen up, as they attempt to turn their form so far in 2011 around.
“I suppose it’s not a bad time, probably gives us a chance to regroup and reassess where we’re at,” he said.
“Everyone knows we’re not going that well, so I suppose it has come at a good time but I think it’s come at a good time for a lot of teams.”
