It is never pleasant having to spend time off the field, especially not when you need to have surgery more than once, but unfortunately, for Warriors second-rower Micheal Luck, that is exactly the case, with the Warriors defensive workhorse requiring a second surgery on his wrist.

The second surgery comes as a result of the first surgery not working correctly, with Luck playing in the 2011 grand final, with a fractured wrist.

Warriors Team Doctor John Mayhew, says that luck will require a bone graft this time around, in order to repair the damage that has been caused by the first surgery.

“It’s a setback but that’s the way it goes. There’s no point worrying about it,” Luck told www.warriors.co.nz.

“What’s most important to me is doing everything to help the boys get ready for the start of the season.

“I was already starting the season a bit late after the shoulder surgery I had before Christmas. Now it’ll just be a bit later.”
