In a boost for the Dragons following the loss of Beau Scott for season 2013, the club has re-signed promising youngster Nathan Green, after the 19-year old made the decision to agree to a contract extension.

The extension will see him remain with the club until at least the end of the 2014 season, and will be keen to play more first-grade, after playing in his debut NRL game in the Dragons loss to the Bulldogs, in Rd 2.

“It’s great that I’ve been given the opportunity to continue playing for the Dragons as I enjoy running out in the Red V jersey every week,” said Green.

“As a local junior it’s a big relief to have this settled and now I can concentrate on playing my best football each week for the Club.”

Peter Doust, Dragons CEO, is pleased that his side has managed to hold onto another talented junior for the next few years.

“The re-signing of Nathan Green, a Renown United junior reinforces our commitment to organic growth and we are very pleased that Nathan has chosen to extend his stay at the Dragons,” said Doust.

“Nathan enjoyed his first full-pre-season with the NRL squad and is to be congratulated on earning the opportunity to make his NRL debut last weekend and we are sure he has a big future ahead of him”.
