BJ Leilua

In a boost for the Sydney Roosters, centre and winger BJ Leilua has agreed to a new 2-year extension with the club, in a deal that will see remain a Rooster until the end of the 2014 NRL season.

The news comes on the back of Leilua’s first rep performance for the winning City Origin side, over Country, in the annual City v Country clash.

“I’m really happy to have re-signed with the Roosters. The club has been good to me and I really enjoy being here. We have a great team here that I’m glad I’ll continue to be a part of,” said Leilua.

Roosters coach Brian Smith is pleased to see that Leilua has extended his tenure at the club.

“BJ is an exciting young talent and we are very pleased to have been able to agree to terms to extend his time at the Club,” he said.

  1. I’m so happy Leilua has signed. I can’t wait to see him combine with Mogga. That combination looks like it will have punch, speed & skill. Go Roosters:)

  2. He’s definitely a talented kid, that’s for sure. I’d imagine that long-term though, we may see him move into the back-row. A back-row of Mitchell Aubusson, Joseph Leilua and Boyd Cordner is very, very good.
