Krisnan Inu

It will be his third NRL team in just a few years, with former Eel and now former Warrior Krisnan Inu, joining the Canterbury Bulldogs on a 3 and half year deal, starting effective immediately

With the utility back given a release by the New Zealand Warriors, the Bulldogs wasted no time in securing the NZ representative’s services, in a deal that will see him remain with the club, until the end of the 2015 NRL season.

Inu played in 21 games for the Warriors, scoring 12 tries in the process – with Bulldogs coach Des Hasler pleased to have a talented player like Inu, in their ranks.

“The Bulldogs are excited to have a player of Krisnan Inu’s pedigree join the Club,” Bulldogs head coach Des Hasler says.

“Krisnan is an international player and his arrival comes off the back of an horrific run of injuries in our outside backs, numbering five in total.

“We certainly think that Krisnan’s arrival will help fill that void.”

Inu himself is pleased that the Warriors granted him the release, to join a new club.

“It’s come about sooner than expected due to circumstances and everything has happened quickly over the last couple of days but I’m thankful for the opportunity,” Inu says.

“I appreciate what the Vodafone Warriors have done in letting me go now, giving me the chance to play NRL football.

“I want to thank everyone at the club for what they’ve done for me. I’ve enjoyed my time here.”
