Bryan Norrie

The Melbourne Storm have managed to retain two more players, one a veteran prop, and the other a rookie half – with both Bryan Norrie and Benjamin Hampton re-signing with the club for 1 and 2 years respectively.

Norrie made the decision to take up the option in his favour to remain with the club, whilst Hampton, a young QLD representative at U15’s, 16’s and 18’s level, decided to stick around for a further two seasons.

Frank Ponissi, the General Manager of Football Operations at the Storm, confirmed the re-signing of both Norrie and Hampton.

“Retention has been a focus for the club and we are pleased to add Bryan and Ben to the list of our recent key re-signings,” Ponissi said.

“Noz brings great value to the club off the field just as he does with his playing ability, which was an important part of why we wanted to retain him.

“Equally important, Ben has been earmarked as a future NRL player and his re-signing allows us to boost our stocks in the halves. The next two years allows the club to continue to develop him into a first grade player,” Ponissi said.
