Brenton Williamson

It is rare to see it announced during a season, but in order to seek other opportunities, the CEO of QLD Cup side the Central Queensland Capras, as made the decision to stand down at season’s end.

Brenton Williamson, the CEO of the Capras, officially announced his resignation today, and will cease employment with the club at the end of the 2012 Intrust Super Cup Competition.

Williamson, who joined the club in November, oversaw the development stage of the club, that saw them undergo a name change from the Central Comets, to the CQ Capras.

Williamson that he was after a change from the CEO atmosphere, citing an intention to pursue other career endeavours in Sports Management or the mining industry.
