Taupau re-signs with the Bulldogs

The Bulldogs have shored up their front-row stocks, announcing that young forward Martin Taupau has re-signed with the club for a further 2 seasons.

Taupau, who is a former junior Kiwi and a member of the Bulldogs Toyota Cup team, Martin has been a part of the Bulldogs first-grade since 2010, the year that he made his debut.

“The Bulldogs have been a big part of my life for a number of years now and I’m over the moon to be staying at the Club,” Taupau said.

“I’ve learnt a lot working with our coaching staff this year and it’s an honour to be involved with such a great team of players.

“I’m still growing as a player and as a person and I look forward to my football education continuing over the next two years.

“More than anything else I want to put in on the field for the Bulldogs, our Members and supporters.”

Bulldogs coach Des Hasler says that he is pleased to have re-signed a young talent like Taupau.

“Marty has a great deal of potential and I’m looking forward to his ongoing development over the next couple of seasons,” Bulldogs head coach Des Hasler said.

“He’s a popular member of the squad and I’m sure his contribution will continue to grow in the years to come.”
