It was a given that he would be retained for years to come, given both the nature in which he is playing and his rapid rise as a fan favourite – and for Adam Reynolds, he would not have it any other way.
Today, the South Sydney Rabbitohs confirmed the re-signing of halfback Adam Reynolds, for a further two season – a decision that Reynolds is pleased to have made.
“I’m really happy to have had my contract extended at the Rabbitohs. It means a lot to me to play for this Club,†Reynolds said.
“I’m a South Sydney junior, I live in the area, I’m bringing up my kids here, and I love the Club and everything it stands for.
“I’m really grateful to have been given the chance to play first grade this year and hopefully I can continue to play first grade at the Club for many more years to come.â€
Starting the year as a relative unknown, Reynolds has blossomed into a fine young halfback, with Souths coach Michael Maguire impressed at the progress that he has made this year.
“Adam has continued to improve his game each week and has had a really strong year so far in his first season,†Coach Maguire said.
“It’s great to be able to keep a local junior with such promise at the Club, especially a man with a young family growing up in South Sydney.
“We’re looking forward to working with Adam and watching him further develop his game in the Rabbitohs jersey, as well as growing the Rabbitohs family.â€
