Longevity is not something that comes easily in the world of rugby league, but for former Manly Sea Eagles stalwart Steve Menzies, he continues to plow through RL adversity – re-signing with the Catalans Dragons in the ESL, for a further year.
Menzies, who will turn 39 before the year is over, said that he always kept the possibility of continuing to play open.
With Menzies such a crucial aspect of the Dragons club and what they are trying to achieve, the opportunity to continue seeing the game of rugby league grow in France and the region Perpignan, was too good to say no to.
“Happy to announce that I’ve just signed with Catalan Dragons for one last season,” he wrote on his official twitter account.
“I’m really excited about the future of league here in France.”
