Clint Greenshields

Dragons fans will remember him well, and they will have a chance to see him in action once more – with former Dragons utility back Clint Greenshields returning to Australian, signing a 1-year deal with the North Queensland Cowboys.

Greenshields, who has spent the last 7 years playing for ESL side, the Catalan Dragons, played 142 games for the Perpignan based club, scoring a club record 77 tries.

Greenshields is no stranger to the representative arena, either, having represented France in Tests against Australia and England, and he was also named in the 2008 Super League Team of the Year.

Peter Parr, the Cowboys General Manager of Football, says that the signing of the veteran back, provides the club with more back-line depth for season 2013.

“Clint was keen to come back and have another shot at the NRL and we’re happy that we’re able to give him that opportunity,” Parr said.

“He’s an experienced player who still has plenty to offer at this level of the game.”
