Whether someone believes that they may be clearing the decks, or whether it is simply a case of a player being surplus to requirements – Gold Coast Titans forward Brenton Lawrence has signed a 3-year deal with the Manly Sea Eagles.

Lawrence, who will add some much needed starch to the Manly pack, made his debut back in 2011, following a tough, long slog to crack the big time, after a long through junior footy.

Set to start first-grade training with his new team later this month, Lawrence looks forward to the opportunity

to represent the Manly side.

“I have loved my time at the Titans and I’d like to thank everyone there, especially the players and coach, John Cartwright,“ Lawrence said.

“I am looking forward to a new challenge by going to such a strong and proud club as the Sea Eagles.”

“They have a tough and experienced playing roster and I know the move will further develop my rugby league career.”

Steve Gigg, who is the Manly General Manager of Football, says that signing Lawrence is a boost for the club.

“Brenton is a great acquisition to the Sea Eagles. He will add further strength and depth to our already outstanding forward pack,” Gigg said.
