He has had his fair share of criticism in the past and you might love the signing or not like it, but the Penrith Panthers will see the return of local junior Peter Wallace, who has signed a 3-year deal with the Penrith Panthers.
Wallace, who started out his career with the Panthers before moving to the Brisbane Broncos, spent six seasons in Brisbane and despite his departure, coach Anthony Griffin wished the halfback his best wishes moving forward.
“Peter had been a wonderful player at the Broncos,” said Griffin.
“He has shown application and willingness to work in everything he has done here.
“I have a huge amount of respect for him as a person and a player.
“We wish him all the success on the next stage of his career.”
Playing in 137 games Online Blackjack during those six seasons at the Broncos, Wallace embarks on a new chapter in his career, one that sees him return to the club he first played for.
For the Panthers, they are excited to not only see the local junior return, but they also believe that he is the sort of player that can help take the Panthers to the next level.
“We’re very excited to have a local junior returning to Panthers,” said Panthers General Manager Phil Moss.
“He’s been performing tremendously well for the mighty Brisbane Broncos for a number of years. Peter is a perfect fit with the culture that Coach Ivan Cleary has created for the Panthers club.
“This now completes our recruitment for the 2014 seasonâ€.
With the signing of Wallace, the Panthers recruitment drive for 2014 is now finished.
