He is revered and respected by Manly Sea Eagles fans for a variety of reasons and is known as ‘Gorgeous’ George Rose but Manly fans will not be seeing Rose in their colours much longer, with the Melbourne Storm confirming the signing of the cult hero for the 2014 season.
Needing some additional prop depth to counter the departure of a few forwards, the Storm acted swiftly and secured the services of Rose.
Preparing to play for Manly this week in their preliminary final, Rose has his hands full and his mind focused on the game, one that is crucial for Manly’s title aspirations.
In respect to Rose and Manly, the club will not make a lot of comments about their new 2014 signing.
“We are really delighted George has signed with the club, he will add great depth to our forward pack,†said the Storm’s Director of Football Frank Ponissi.
“We respect that Manly is heading into a preliminary final this week and look forward to welcoming George to the club after the Grand Final.â€
