It is almost that time of the year again where club rivalries are put aside and instead, the allegiance switches to state rivalries. Where competitors and opponents come together for one common cause. To win the State of Origin series.

With the NSW currently going through a barren run having lost the series last year for the umpteenth time, there is no better time to make a statement and make their presence known. With some likely changes to last years’ side, can that be the difference?

As for QLD, their side basically picks itself. Although there is an injury or two here and there, the core make-up fo their side is largely the same as years’ past and when you boast four of the best players in the world in your teams spine, you know they will be ready for the fight.
