Shaun Nona

Over the years, a lot of Queensland Cup players have made been scouted and signed by NRL clubs after impressing over a number of games.

The most recent player to be signed in such a fashion is Northern Pride five-eighth Shaun Nona, who will join the Melbourne Storm’s roster for the 2015 season.

Still only 23, Nona is a Queensland Tully Tigers junior and has played with the Pride for three seasons now.

With a representative appearance in the Origin curtain-raiser, Nona is currently second on the point-scoring list in the Queensland Cup.

For the Storm, they are pleased to have him on board and they look forward to seeing him make the most of the opportunity.

“We are pleased to have signed Shaun, having followed his progress this season at Northern Pride,” said Storm Football Director, Frank Ponissi.

“Shaun is a naturally talented player and if he maintains his positive attitude and dedication we believe he will do well in the Melbourne Storm system.”
