Antonio Kaufusi

After stints in the English Super League with the Bradford Bulls, the London Broncos and the Huddersfield Giants, former NRL prop Antonio Kaufusi returns, signing a 2-year deal with the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Having played for the Melbourne Storm, the Newcastle Knights and the North Queensland Cowboys previously, the 29-year old is looking forward to the new challenge.

“The management staff have been awesome in helping me relocate here,” said Kaufusi.

“It’s great to be back and try to test myself again.”

For the veteran prop, he is excited to get to work and cement a spot of his own in the Bulldogs forward pack.

“It’s exciting that the boys have been involved in a few grand finals,” said Kaufusi.

“For myself, it’s about getting stuck in and putting my head down to work hard and trying to do my best for the start of the season.”

Kaufusi is also excited to play alongside the likes of Frank Pritchard and James Graham in the Dogs forward pack.

“They’ve got a great forward pack here at the club and I want to get in there and get my front foot forward,” said Kaufusi.

Equally pleased is Bulldogs coach Des Hasler, who knows that the signing of the veteran means additional depth for the club.

“Antonio is an experienced player and he will add some depth to our forward pack for next season, “Hasler said.
