Nathan Brown

The forward depth at the South Sydney Rabbitohs has been strengthened, with the club signing Nathan Brown from the Wests Tigers after they released him from the remainder of his contract.

Playing just the one game for the Tigers and in his NRL career to date, Brown was a part of the Tigers NYC Championship side in 2012.

The 21-year old received the best wishes from the club and coach Jason Taylor.

“On behalf of everyone at the Club I would like to thank Nathan for his commitment during his time at Wests Tigers,” Taylor said.

“I wish him all the best in the next stage of his rugby league career.”

“Looking at our current squad, I believe we have good depth in the front-row, with a number of quality options including current internationals Aaron Woods and Martin Taupau.

“The Club has granted Nathan the chance to take up an opportunity to play first grade elsewhere and we wish him good luck in the future.”

The Bunnies released a short statement confirming the signing:

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have added young prop forward Nathan Brown to the full time squad for the 2015 and 2016 seasons today.

Brown, 21, joins the Rabbitohs after a stint at the Wests Tigers which saw him make his first grade debut in 2013 against the Dragons.

Standing 185cm and weighing in at 107kg, Brown joins the Rabbitohs squad from today, bolstering the front row depth at the Club.
