Sam Kasiano

One of the biggest props in the Canterbury Bulldogs side and in the NRL, Sam Kasiano packs a punch with his runs and hits and the barnstorming prop has now re-signed with the Dogs.

The new deal will see Kasiano remain at the club for a further three years until the end of 2018 and he is happy to commit to the club.

“It’s great,” Kasiano said.

“It’s a great club, great bunch of guys and it’s awesome that I know I will be here for another three years.

“Des is one the best coaches in the game and I’m happy that I can continue to learn from him. I’ve had a tough run with injuries lately so I’m just looking to string some games together.”

Having been a part of the Dogs organisation for a few years now, Kasiano praised the efforts of coach Des Hasler to work with him.

For Hasler, he too is excited with the opportunity to continue working alongside Kasiano.

“Sam is an exciting and skilful player who has represented his country,” Hasler said.

“He has got through a tough run of injuries and has started the season positively.”

With the focus on retaining the key players within their ranks, the Bulldogs look forward to seeing Kasiano back to his destructive best as the season wears on.

“We all know how destructive Sam can be on the field and hopefully we will see that continue over the next three years,” said club Chief Executive, Raelene Castle.

“It’ll be good to see him grow as a player and contribute week to week for the club.”
