Both mainstays of the current Melbourne Storm starting team and system, prop duo Tim Glasby and Christian Welch have re-signed with the club until the end of 2018 and 2017 respectively.
Glasby, who joined the Storm side from QLD Cup side, the Central Queensland Capras, has played in every Storm game since Rd 18, 2014.
A reliable prop, his efforts when either starting or coming off the bench have not gone unnoticed by coach Craig Bellamy.
As for younger prop Christian Welch, the 21-year old has played three games in 2016 so far and is continuing to learn the game and develop his skills.
The re-signing of both players shores up their prop depth and are signings the club are pleased to have made.
“We are delighted to have re-signed both Tim and Christian, two players who are a big part of this Club moving forward,†Storm Football Director Frank Ponissi said.
“Tim has worked incredibly hard over the last few years to get to where he is and we have no doubt he will continue to improve and take his game to the next level.
“Christian is always looking to learn and he has worked incredibly hard on developing his game to be in regular contention for an NRL spot.
“We look forward to both players being an integral part of our forward pack into the future.â€
