Surprise selections to start the year, Newcastle Knights fans will be pleased to know that the Saifiti twins have signed an extension to their current deal until the end of 2018.
Still only 20 and eligible for the Holden Cup, the young duo have done enough this year to impress Knights coach Nathan Brown to retain their spots.
“Daniel and Jacob have been in our system for some time now and we are delighted to secure them at the Club long term,†coach Nathan Brown said.
“They have both impressed this year and we know they will only continue to improve.
“They are a significant part of our plan at the Knights to build the team around our young local talent where possible.
“Not only are they talented young players, they are fine young men, which is equally as important in building our roster.â€

“The Knights has given me a great opportunity to play NRL and I just want to do everything I can to repay this Club.â€
Daniel, a front-rower is equally impressed with the club’s set-up and wants to be a part of the team moving forward.
