Clint Gutherson

One of the new fan favourites of many at the club, in just one season, Clint Gutherson has captured the attention of Parramatta Eels fans who are today jumping for joy, with the utility back re-signing until the end of the 2019 season.

Gutherson, who joined the club from the Manly Sea Eagles, had a slow start to his Eels campaign but after a shift to centre early on and then a forced stint in the halves at five-eighth, he excelled and had Eels fans smiling.

With the increasing likelihood that he partners Corey Norman in the halves to start the 2017 season, his form and skills have earned him praise from head coach, Brad Arthur.

“Clint is a great talent and has already made his mark on our team in his first season,” said Head Coach Brad Arthur.

“He has added a great deal of skill into our back line and I’m looking forward to seeing him create more opportunities when the next season kicks off in 2017.”

Still only 22, Gutherson recently played in the NSW City side in the annual City v Country clash, as Eels fans hope his 2016 momentum can transcend into the 2017 season.
