Addin Fonua-Blake

Moving quickly to secure his signature before he comes off-contract, the Manly Sea Eagles have re-signed prop Addin Fonua-Blake on a 2-year contract extension.

The new, extended deal, sees Fonua-Blake remain at the club until the end of the 2020 season.

Since making his debut in 2016, Fonua-Blake has played in 35 NRL games to date and will add to that as Manly face the Penrith Panthers in the finals series.

With the Manly pack developing but performing well at the same time, Fonua-Blake’s individual form and development drew praise from coach Trent Barrett.

“Addin has taken his game to another level and has become a key component of our developing forward pack”, said Sea Eagles Head Coach Trent Barrett.

Echoing those sentiments was Chief Operating Officer Neil Bare.

“We are proud of Addin’s development both on and off the field, and securing him longer term was a high priority for us,’’ Bare said.

“Addin is maturing into one of our real leaders in the Club, and with his young family, has settled well into life on the Northern Beaches.”
