They have had some forwards leave recently but the Canberra Raiders have re-signed forward Josh Papalii.
The new four-year deal for Papalii means his future is sorted and he could not happier.
“I love Canberra and I love the green jersey,” Papalii said.
“This is my home and the Raiders have given me the opportunity to play in the NRL and I want to continue to repay them.”
He was quick to thank fans and members and knows Canberra is the place for him.
“Canberra is my home and this is the best place for me and my family to continue to live and for me to play my best footy,” Papalii continued.
“I want to thank all of the club’s members and fans for their continued support and hopefully I can continue to represent you and the community.”
With 161 games for the club, the junior has also represented both Queensland and Australia.
For the club, retaining his services is seen as a huge boost moving forward.
“Josh is a big part of our football team and our club,” Raiders Recruitment and High-Performance Director Peter Mulholland said.
“We know what a tremendous talent he is on the field and he’s the type of player others want to play with.
“We’re very happy that’s he’s re-signed with us and we look forward to seeing him continue his career in Canberra.”
