Veteran Brisbane Broncos utility Alex Glenn

He wanted to finish up a one-club man and Alex Glenn got his wish, signing a new two-year deal with the Brisbane Broncos.

With 259 NRL games to his name to date, the 300 mark is nearing for the man they call ‘Mr Consistent.’

With many young players now around him in the Broncos side, Glenn has relished the chance to become more of a leader.

“I’ve enjoyed being a leader for these boys,” said Glenn.

“We’ve had 12 debutants in 2019 and they have all deserved their jersey this year.

“But the thing that kept me going hard every single week was competing with these boys – they’ll never beat me on my efforts.”

The consistency and attitude of Glenn is what pleased Broncos coach Anthony Seibold.

“His consistency sets a great example for our whole squad and his leadership is important to the players at our club working to fulfill their potential,” said Seibold.

“He always works hard and always gives his all – we want everyone at this club to follow the example that he sets.”
