Returning Cronulla Sharks utility back Bryson Goodwin

Bryson Goodwin started his career as a Cronulla Sharks player and will likely end it there, rejoining the club for the 2020 season.

Goodwin, who can cover several backline positions, can kick goals and is a seasoned performer, was recently released by the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

With a total of 99 first-grade games at the Rabbitohs to his name, the opportunity to play elsewhere saw them release him.

With 176 NRL games to his name, Goodwin is a local Cronulla junior, playing for the Gymea Gorillas.

2008 was the last time he donned the famous blue of the Sharks.

Many players never get the chance to return to where it began but Goodwin is excited to have that opportunity.

“I’m really excited to be back here where I started my career,” Goodwin said.

Goodwin has played for several NRL clubs and in England, and knows what a journey he has had in his career.

“It’s been a great journey,” the veteran backline player said.

“It’s sort of come full circle and I’ve ended up back at the Sharks.”
