Back home where it all began, Sam Stone has extended his stay with the Gold Coast Titans for a further season.
The Burleigh local had previously played for Newcastle but since returning to the Titans, played in nine games this past season.
He managed to force his way back into the side and performed strongly enough to give Holbrook options as to his overall rotations.
Still young, Titans coach Justin Holbrook knows that Stone has plenty of footy ahead of him.
“Stoney is just a great hard working, honest guy,” Holbrook said.
“He is a proven first grader and NRL player and it’s great that we’ve been able to extend him and keep him at our Club next year.
“He’s still only 23-years-old so he is going to improve a lot.
“It’s great for our Club that Stoney is continuing with us.”
