It has been some ride for Kyle Flanagan but his Sydney Roosters tenure is over and his Canterbury Bulldogs adventure begins.
The talented halfback joins the Bulldogs on a three-year deal after his rather unceremonious departure from the Roosters.
Flanagan will be at the Bulldogs on a three-year deal, as the side looks to reverse their fortunes from a relatively poor 2020 season.
Still only 22, Flanagan showed how good he can be and he will have the chance to lead the Bulldogs side moving forward.
The Bulldogs are pleased to have signed such a talented half that can produce points, something they struggled with throughout 2020.
“It is fantastic news for our Members and fans that we have been able to add someone of the class of Kyle to our squad,” said CEO Andrew Hill.”
“He is a quality all-round footballer, who will bring game management and a strong kicking component to our halves, as well as having the potential to grow as a player under Trent Barrett and his coaching staff.”
The Bulldogs are hopeful that the squad revamp under new coach Trent Barrett, will be the push they need towards finals appearances again.
“We are putting together a squad that has the right qualities and everyone is excited about getting back together for the pre-season in what we believe is a new beginning for the club,” continued Hill.
“We can’t wait for Kyle to be a part of that.”
