Still only 18, Will Penisini is making waves and his form has seen the Parramatta Eels upgrade his contract for the next two years.

Initially slated to be a development player at best, the upgrade for Penisini by the Eels means he is now a member of the club’s top 30.

A local junior from Rouse Hill, Penisini has played for the Eels Harold Matthews and SG Ball sides.

Penisini’s development and subsequent upgrade are deserved in the eyes of the club and he drew praise from Eels General Manager of Football, Mark O’Neill.

Will is an exciting young prospect who has progressed through our elite pathways program at the Eels,” said O’Neill.

“Will is a well-balanced individual who is not only a great cultural fit but has trained very well in the pre-season and deserves this opportunity.”

The club will monitor Penisini and his transition into the top-flight.

“Will’s inclusion will no doubt inspire many of our young talented players within our Pathways to strive for similar opportunities,” continued O’Neill.

“We look forward to watching and supporting Will’s continual development both on and off the field in the coming years,” O’Neill said.
