Several former NRL players have made the shift to the new North American Rugby League competition (NARL) and Pita Godinet is the latest, joining the Atlanta Rhinos.
Godinet, who has most recently been playing for French rugby league side Villeneuve, played in several games for the Warriors, as he came through their system.
“Pita has taken his talents to several clubs in the NRL as well as Super League and represented Samoa in multiple World Cups,” the Rhinos said in a statement.
“An extremely smart and quick-witted player with the ball in his hands nearly every play, we can’t wait to have Pita guiding the boys around the field this year.”
Godinet only played 13 games for the Warriors but he was also a Samoan international.
Godinet is excited to join the new NARL franchise and looks forward to his time coming up at the club.
“I am very excited about the opportunity to join a great franchise that is very ambitious and has a great culture,” Godinet said.
“I look forward to meeting and working with the staff, players and engaging with the fans and community.”
