The St George Illawarra Dragons hosted the Brisbane Broncos on Thursday Night Footy to kickoff Round 13.

The Dragons entered the matchup with a 5-7 record at 8th place while the Broncos had a 3-9 record at 15th on the ladder.

The Broncos would be the first to crack the scoreboard.

7 minutes in and 20 metres out, Albert Kelly grubbered early in the set for David Mead to dive on it and score.

Jamayne Isaako nailed the sideline conversion to make the lead 6-0.

5 minutes later, the Dragons would hit back. Jack Bird ran away with a 40-metre effort to score against his former side.

A few minutes later, the same combination would strike again. Kelly poked his nose through and offloaded for Robati to score his first-ever NRL double.

Isaako added another 2 to make the lead 18-12.

However, the very next set for the Dragons, they would strike again. Matt Dufty threw a cutout ball for Gerard Beale to dive over.

Norman added the conversion to level it at 18-all.

30 seconds from halftime, the Broncos knocked on at their own 30.

Norman kicked through from the scrum and a brain snap from Isaako allowed Dufty to pounce on it.

Norman converted to make the lead 24-18 at the halftime break.

5 minutes after halftime, the Dragons forced a goal-line dropout.

As Poasa Faamausili returned the dropout, he was hit high by TC Robati.

Nearing the final buzzer, Hunt chipped for Josh Kerr to take it. Kerr offloaded for Hunt to get into open space.
