Already boasting a young, exciting forward pack brimming with potential and talent, the Gold Coast Titans have now added Isaac Liu.
Liu, a hard-running forward who is a multiple premiership winner with the Sydney Roosters, brings the experience and the work ethic.
At 30 years old and with 192 NRL games to his name, Liu has a connection to the Gold Coast having attended Keebra Park State High School.
Liu’s experience and premiership success make him a valuable addition to the Titans in the eyes of coach Justin Holbrook.
“His experience and the fact that he is a big game player that has won competitions makes him a player that is very valuable for us,” Holbrook said.
“He is such a professional guy, he’s capable at playing at both prop or lock and he brings so much off the field as well.”
Holbrook also expects Liu to act as a mentor for the likes of Moeaki Fotuaika, David Fifita, and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui.
“We’ve got some of the most exciting young forwards in the game in Moeaki Fotuaika, David Fifita, and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui but they are all still 21-years old,” Holbrook continued.
“To have someone like Isaac be able to mentor our young forwards and also drive the culture we are building at the Titans makes him a really important signing.”
