In what is a massive coup for the Canterbury Bulldogs, the club has signed forward Tevita Pangai Junior from 2022.
Pangai Junior has signed a three-year deal from next season and gives the club’s pack starch and aggression.
At 25 years old, Pangai Junior has 96 NRL games to his name to date, all of which have come with the Brisbane Broncos.
A proud Tongan, Pangai Junior’s quality and ball-running prowess are what made him appeal to Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett.
“Being able to bring a forward of Tevita’s quality to the club is a massive boost for our playing group for next season and beyond,” said Barrett.
“He is a great ball runner and strong defender and someone who will be the perfect fit with the other forwards that we have.
He is also a player with International experience who has performed well on that stage and someone who can be a leader within our group.”
