2015 was a tremendous season for Anthony Milford but he was never able to reach those heights again. Now, the South Sydney Rabbitohs beckon.

The live-wire five-eighth has a chance to start afresh after signing with the Rabbitohs for the 2022 season.

Milford, who has been at the Broncos since 2015 and had his ups and downs, was officially allowed to leave by the Broncos.

Ben Ikin, the Broncos Football and Performance Director wished Milford all the best at his new club.

“Anthony has been with the Broncos for many years and we wish him all the best as he moves on to a new challenge.”

To date, Milford has played 189 NRL games with the Canberra Raiders and the Broncos and has also represented Samoa.

Milford’s signing was praised by the Rabbitohs Head of Football, Mark Ellison.

We’re really excited to have Anthony joining our Club in 2022,” Ellison said.

“He comes to us highly recommended by (current Head Coach) Wayne (Bennett) and ‘JD’ (incoming 2022 Head Coach Jason Demetriou) who both worked with him at the Broncos where he played a leading role in taking them to the 2015 Grand Final.

“At his best, he is one of the most electrifying players in the game and we’re certain he will put his best foot forward with our Club next season.”
