A late bloomer at 24, Gold Coast Titans winger Greg Marzhew has made the most of his NRL chance.
The Titans have opted to re-sign the powerful winger for a further two seasons until the end of 2023.
Things looked somewhat bleak at different points in Marzhew’s career, having been hyped as a potential superstar several times.
Although he took the long road to get to where he is, Marzhew has since shown his talents and his powerful runs have aided the Titans in recent times.
Titans coach Justin Holbrook admits that Marzhew had to be patient and work on aspects of his game to be at his best.
“This is a great reward for a guy that has been knocking on the door for an NRL start for a while now,” Holbrook said.
“Greg was patient and has worked on his game and when given the opportunity he has absolutely taken it with both hands.
“His power and his explosive running is such an exciting weapon and I know the boys love playing alongside Greg.”
