The Gold Coast Titans have re-signed one of the games most talented forwards  with Tino Fa’asuamaleaui agreeing to a new deal until the end of 2026.

Fa’asuamaleaui , who has found a home at the lock position for the Titans, turned down interest from expansion side, the Dolphins, to stay.

Fa’asuamaleaui claimed the Titans’ best and fairest award in 2021, the Paul Broughton Medal, indicative of his form and achievements across the season.

Fa’asuamaleaui drew strong praise from Titans coach Justin Holbrook who praised both the player and the professional.

“Tino is not just a great player, he is a great person,” Holbrook said.

“He’s only entering his second pre-season here at the Titans, but he has already made a huge impact on the players, staff and everyone involved in our club.”

Holbrook also praised Fa’asuamaleaui for his work ethic both on and off the field.

“Tino is our hardest working player who sets very high standards for himself and is always doing extras after training to improve his game, “Holbrook continued.

“He is completely invested in what we are developing here on the Coast with his long term extension proving this and alongside a group of mates that are all around the same age, we’ve got a wonderful core group of young players that can bring success to the Gold Coast in the years to come.”
