On the back of another solid personal season, the Newcastle Knights have re-signed centre/winger Enari Tuala.
Tuala’s new deal will see him remain with the Knights until the end of the 2023 season.
Joining the club from the North Queensland Cowboys, Tuala has been the club’s top try-scorer in his two seasons at the Knights.
Still only 23, Tuala has formed a handy combination on the left with centre Bradman Best.
That partnership produced 14 tries in 2021 and the Knights will hope that such a feat can be replicated in 2022.
Knights Head of Recruitment Clint Zammit believes Tuala will only get better in 2022.
“Enari worked hard on the things he needed to change, he played in every game for the Knights in 2021, resulting in a career-best season,” Zammit said.
“His extension adds real depth to our outside backs, covering both wing and centre.
“If he continues to work hard, especially in the pre-season, we believe his game can improve again in 2022.”
