The Dolphins have added a second piece to their side for 2023, signing Parramatta Eels utility Ray Stone.
Stone, who was forced to deputise at hooker for the Eels in the 2021 finals with Reed Mahoney and Joey Lussick injured, reportedly joins the Dolphins on a two-year deal.
Since making his NRL debut, Stone has played in 28 NRL games, all for the Eels.
Dolphins CEO Terry Reader says Stone was a player they had identified as a key man for them early.
“We need to build some depth to the squad we will ultimately enter the competition with, and Ray is just the type of player we are looking for,” Reader said.

His ability to cover the hooker position was an added bonus for Reader.
“Ray has gained some good NRL experience with the Eels and also covers the hooker position,” Reader said.
“We look forward to him joining the Dolphins when we begin pre-season training in November next year.”
