Max King joined the Canterbury Bulldogs with the view of playing regular first-grade.

In 2022, he has so far achieved that goal and fired on all cylinders. Providing strong bench impact, King’s form has been rewarded.

The young prop has signed a new deal with the Bulldogs until the end of the 2024 season.

King, who had previous stints with the Gold Coast Titans and the Melbourne Storm, has played 56 NRL games to date.

King, a West Maitland junior, is a player that has impressed Bulldogs coach Trent Barrett.

“We really believe in Max as a player, and everyone has been impressed with his attitude and effort on the field,” Barrett said.

“He brings a lot of energy and is a strong ball carrier, and we look forward to seeing him continue to develop in the coming years.

“Max is a big part of the future here and we are pleased that he has decided to extend his time with the club.”
