The match started with an arm wrestle through the first fifteen minutes with both the Brisbane Broncos and Gold Coast Titans testing the waters in attack and looking promising early.

The Titans were the first side with great field position as they put the Broncos goal line defence under great pressure with multiple goal line dropouts.

Their efforts were undone with an untimely error that afforded the Broncos defence a release of pressure.

The Broncos returned the favour a couple of minutes later making the same mistake after marching down the field, releasing any pressure on the Titans defensive line.

Through twenty-five minutes, the Titans found themselves knocking on the door, the game still ominously poised at 0-0.

A touch of class by Toby Sexton was just what the game needed with a beautifully weighted kick in behind the Broncos right edge defence.

Tanah Boyd won the race to dive onto the ball and score the first try of the match before Sexton added the extra two to make the score 6-0.

As the half was ending, the Broncos gained field position and looked dangerous with the football.

The Titans had held on in defence for multiple sets, however, the brilliance of Adam Reynolds was displayed once more.

The Broncos went down the shortside and a beautiful Adam Reynolds cut out pass  found Delouise Hoeter scoring in the left corner.

Reynolds added the extra two from the left side line which evened the match at 6-6 at half time.

The Titans begun the second half with ascendancy almost immediately as Sexton once more controlled the match.

This time, it was Jaimin Jolliffe with the profit, diving over to score close to the posts and Sexton added the extra two.

An error from Beau Fermor on the proceeding set invited the Broncos to attack on the following set and they made no mistake.

A beautiful cut out pass from Tyson Gamble made the job easy for Jordan Pereira to dive over in the corner as he evaded several defenders.

Reynolds failed to add the extra two for their second try, making the score still favour the titans 12-10.

Fermor’s nightmare night continued the Gold Coast with another costly error and inviting the Broncos to attack.

Gamble answered the call once more with a beautiful run and offload which assisted Reynolds to score right next to the posts untouched.

Reynolds added the extra two to make the score line favour the Broncos 12-16.

As the match entered the final ten minutes, both sides had chances go begging that could have swung the result in each teams favour as the game hung by a thread with only five minutes remaining.

The Broncos dug deep in the dying stages of the match, under all sorts of pressure and without field position, they did what they had to do and secured the two points for the premiership ladder.
