In a rugby league climate where taking the money can be an easy option, Ronaldo Mulitalo has turned down offers in order to remain with the Cronulla Sharks.
Mulitalo, who was already contracted for the 2023 season, has signed an extension for a further two years until the end of 2025.
For Mulitalo, it was a simple decision to remain at the club that has become his home.
“I’m very excited,” Mulitalo said.
“I love this place, love the players, love the team, the coaching staff, admin people, all the playing group.
“I’m happy to be here and can’t wait for the next few years.”
Mulitalo came through an elite junior pathway camp and then joined the Sharks SG Ball side.
It was the opportunity that they gave him that prompted Mulitalo to stick around.
“The club has looked after me since I was a young fella,” Mulitalo continued.
“I just hope I can repay them in the next couple of years and I’m really happy to be staying around.”
One of the game’s best finishers, Mulitalo has since played 61 NRL games and scored 42 tries, including 15 this season.
