With both the Brisbane Broncos and Gold Coast Titans heading into round 3 at 0-2, they were desperate for a win to keep their hopes of finals alive.

In the end, on the back of a Jaime Chapman hat-trick, the Broncos emerged victorious 22-4 at Moreton Daily Stadium.

It took ten minutes for the Broncos to open the scoring as Chapman took a pass before spinning past a defender and carrying others over the line to score.

It was Chelsea Lenarduzzi’s turn to carry defenders over the line, as she took five of them with her to score.

On a waterlogged field, the Broncos continued to power ahead as Chapman grabbed her second with another show of strength and speed.

Down but not out, the Titans were able to score first in the second half.

Quick hands down the right led to a try for Madison Bartlett who had acres of room to run into.

The Titans’ joy was short lived, however, when the Broncos scored again through Shenae Ciesiolka.

Ciesiolka was able to beat her opposite number in Evania Pelite, opening up the lane for her to score in.

Chapman would round out her hat trick some good lead up play by Amber Hall, as the Broncos recorded their first win of the campaign.
