It has been quite a few years since he donned the North Queensland Cowboys jersey but James Tamou will get to put it on again after signing with the club for 2023.
A premiership winner with the club in 2015, Tamou played in 170 NRL games in his first stint with the club from 2009-2016.
Tamou’s departure then saw him head to the Penrith Panthers and the Wests Tigers, where was captain at both clubs.
Although he may not don the C on his jersey this time around, it will be his experience for younger forwards that will prove invaluable.
“We are excited to be able to add a player of James’ experience to our roster at this late stage, just prior to the commencement of our pre-season,” Cowboys General Manager of Football Micheal Luck said.
“He will bring professionalism and a strong work ethic, while also adding significant depth to our forward pack.
“James will be a wonderful influence for our excellent group of young forwards.”
