After making his mark at the back end of the 2022 season, the Gold Coast Titans have moved swiftly to keep Jojo Fifita at the club long-term.

Fifita has signed a new extension until the end of the 2025 season and his end-of-season form following his round 18 debut was rewarded with a Prime Minister’s XIII berth.

Playing in eight games this season across the centre and wing positions, Titans coach Justin Holbrook admits he was always confident that Fifita would stay.

“Jojo is a real talent and a player that we’re excited to have here at the Titans long term,” Holbrook said.

“After growing up predominantly playing union, 2022 was just his second year of full-time rugby league and you can see how quickly he has adapted to our game.

“He’s a strike outside back but he is also a great defender and as he continues to develop we’re confident that you’ll see his game improve even further over the coming years.”
