Capping off a remarkable return to rugby league, Sammy Bremner has continued her good form with four tries in the Jillaroos 74-0 win against the Cook Islands.

It was going to be a long night for the spirited Cook Islands team from the get-go when the opening kick-off went dead.

Just a couple of minutes later, the Jillaroos had their first as Evania Pelite was able to get some space out wide, cut back inside and score.

Lauren Brown then showed some class at hooker as she feigned right but passed back on the inside to her left and Caitlan Johnston powered onto the ball to score.

The Jillaroos third try saw Isabelle Kelly make a break down the left before finding Tarryn Aiken in support for the try.

Veteran Jillaroos forward Simaima Taufa then made a break up the middle and found Bremner in support for her first try.

Pelite would have her second as Kezie Apps put Aiken in space before Kelly passed to the winger for her second.

The Jillaroos would attack the right side this time and Shenae Ciesiolka had too much speed for the Cook Islands defenders.

Bremner then put in a perfectly weighted kick that saw Julia Robinson win the race to the ball.

Bremner’s second try came early in the second half as Apps offloaded to her and she ran around defenders for the score.

Taliah Fuimaono would get the next try as she dummied before burrowing over from dummy half to score.

Fuimaono then turned provider with a lovely cut-out pass for Julia Robinson to find space and score her second.

Veteran Ali Brigginshaw then showed she still has it as she cut through the Cook Islands defence and found Bremner on the inside for her hat-trick.

Brigginshaw and Bremner would combine again, this time in a much simpler fashion.

Pelite then capped off her hat-trick as Aiken lobbed a pass over the top for her to score.

Aiken would score the final try of the game after an initial break saw her in acres of space to score.
