One team’s discarded player can prove to be another team’s treasure and the Sydney Roosters have signed Corey Allan from the Canterbury Bulldogs to strengthen their depth.

Allan, who has been with the Bulldogs for the last two seasons, has seemingly fallen out of favour, despite previously earning an Origin berth.

In the end, as the club wished him all the best, the Roosters got Allan on board for the 2023 season and are pleased to have done son.

“We’re pleased to welcome Corey to the Roosters. He is a talented player who will challenge for first grade and provide some terrific depth to our squad,” Sydney Roosters Head of Recruitment Daniel Anderson.

His sole QLD performance came in 2020 and Allan actually made history when he played in the PM XIII game prior to playing first-grade.

Allan has also previously had a stint with the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
