The Melbourne Storm have always been a side to reward good form and look to the future and have done so again with the retentions of Tyran Wishart and Jonah Pezet.
Wishart, who was the winner of the 2022 Billy Slater Rookie of the Year award had a career year showing off his talents and his versatility.
At different stages during the season, in addition to playing hooker, Wishart also played wing, fullback and in the halves.
A Gerringong local, it was during the 2021 season when Wishart joined the Storm.
As for Pezet, the young half was part of the Storm’s 2022 squad and was a development squad player previously.
Perhaps his star performance in his short career to date came when he guided the NSW U19’s Origin side to victory, piquing the interest of many more fans.
