Although his form has its inconsistencies, the South Sydney Rabbitohs believe Damien Cook is still their man at hooker, re-signing him until the end of 2025.

Cook, a NSW and Australian representative player, has played in 170 NRL games, 161 of which have come with the Rabbitohs.

For Cook, a two-time Dally M Hooker of the Year, the decision to stay was easy as he wants to be a Rabbitoh for the rest of his career.

“I’m really excited about signing this new deal as I know we have some great opportunities in front of us over the next few years,” Cook said.

“This Club is also part of my family.“

Cook believes that both he and the Rabbitohs can get better and that they have the team to challenge the top sides.

“In saying that, we haven’t achieved what we have set out to achieve just yet and I think we have the team and support to win the 22nd premiership for the Rabbitohs in the next few years,” Cook continued.
