Depth is key for any rugby league side and the Wests Tigers have added Brandon Wakeham to provide valuable halves cover for the 2023 season.

Wakeham, who has signed on for the 2023 season, joins the Tigers from the Canterbury Bulldogs where he was in and out of the side since debuting in 2019.

Most recently, Wakeham donned the Fijian jersey at the Rugby League World Cup but in clubland, Wakeham wants to take this opportunity with both hands and seize it.

“I’m really excited to be joining Wests Tigers and I can’t wait to get stuck into training,” he said.

“My first impressions of the club have been brilliant.

“The Zurich Centre is world class and there is a strong family feel to the club.”

Although the likelihood of him starting is slim, Tigers coach Tim Sheens believes that Wakeham be a welcome addition to the Tigers.

“He’s a talented young player and a welcome addition to our club,” said Sheens.

“He adds quality and depth in the halves and that’s important for us as a squad.”
