Another club for Aaron Woods as he joins the Manly Sea Eagles for the remainder of 2023 following his release from the St George Illawarra Dragons.

Woods, a former NSW and Australia representative, has played 252 NRL games since making his debut for the Wests Tigers.

Since then, he has also played for the Canterbury Bulldogs, the Cronulla Sharks and most recently, the Dragons.

His signing is one that is welcomed by Manly coach Anthony Seibold, who believes Woods can bring further experience to their pack.

“Aaron adds experience and depth to our middle forwards,’’ Seibold said.

“Competition for spots is something we have worked really hard on over the pre-season and ‘Woodsy’ will certainly add to that.

“He has played for Australia and NSW and he brings that wealth of experience.”

Woods is excited to join and work alongside the likes of Daly Cherry-Evans and Tom Trbojevic, as well as some of the younger players.

“It’s a strong club Manly. I’m very excited to be playing alongside the likes of Jake and Tom Trbojevic, and Daly Cherry-Evans, the Qld Captain and Australian vice-captain,’’ Woods said.

“And then there is some exciting young players there in Haumole Olakau’atu and Tolu Koula. If I can pass on my experiences to these young guys, then I will be happy.

“I just want to buy into what Anthony Seibold wants to do and help drive the culture and standards at Manly.”
